She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in “Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering” at the Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy), supervised by Alessandra Zanelli. Her research topic addresses efficient lightweight textile-based structures. In particular, she is investigating their interdisciplinary design process: form-finding, material and technological choices, computational design, performances, and optimization of production, installation and maintenance process.
Qualified Architect in Italy, she obtained a Master Degree from the Politecnico di Milano, Milan (Italy), in 2016. She spent one year of Erasmus fellowship in France at ENSA Nantes. Since her Bachelor Thesis, supervised by prof. Alessandra Zanelli, she has been investigated lightweight structure. In her Bachelor Thesis, she contributed to the EU-funded research project “S(P)EEDKITS - Rapid deployable kits as seeds for self-recovery”, proposing a first-recover shelter for humanitarian emergencies adaptable in relation with the climatic and cultural areas. In her Master Thesis, that was rewarded as the 2016 Best Master Dissertation by the Milan Association of Architects, she developed a temporary ultra-lightweight structure easy and quick to build-up, paying attention to guarantee high internal performances.
Since her graduation, she has been collaborating as Teaching Assistant in various Bachelor and Master courses at the Department of Architecture, Built environment and Construction engineering (ABC) and Design Department of the Politecnico di Milano. In November 2016, after six-month postgraduate internship at the “Textile Architecture Network” supervised by professor Zanelli, she won a PhD fellowship.
